CloudNOW Announces Top Woman in Cloud Innovation

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Sept 24, 2015CloudNOW, the executive consortium for the leading women in cloud and converging technologies, today announced their selection for the Top Woman in Cloud Innovation for 2015 in a pitch-style competition in San Francisco. Participants included the CloudNOW Top 10 Women in Cloud, all of whom were invited to vie for the #1 spot, and receive the accolade of Top Woman in Cloud (by Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice):

The Top Woman in Cloud Innovation, Judges’ Choice was

  • Tana Jackson, Vice President Engineering, SOASTA

The Top Woman in Cloud, People’s Choice was a two-way tie between:

  • Diane Mueller, Director of Community Development OpenShift, Red Hat
  • Mandy Storbakken, Principal Technologist, Medtronic (nominated by VMware)

The CloudNOW Awards Judges’ choice was determined by a panel of expert judges including:

  • Bernard Golden- Named by Wired.com as one of the ten most influential people in cloud computing, author, advisor to CIO Magazine, and Advisor to CloudNOW
  • Susan Wu- Former ‘Top 10 Women in Cloud’ winner, openstack expert, entrepreneur, and angel investor

The CloudNOW People’s Choice was determined on-site by popular vote of everyone attending the event.
